Window Blinds 6 and Files Copied and Moved

Yesterday I upgraded from Window Blinds 5 to 6. I am still running Windows XP so I thought everything would be ok. Apparently Windows Vista likes files and folders located on the C drive under Documents and Settings. That's ok but, when Window Blinds copied the files it only copied some of them. The same thing happened with ThemeManager.

My question is this: Can I SAFELY delete the folders "WindowBlinds and ThemeManager" where I orignally installed them or do I just delete the themes and leave the program files in the original directory? It's taking up double the space on the drives which is insane.

Thanks
Michael

What themes did it leave behind?

WindowBlinds performs a move operation unless the move fails in which case it performs a copy.

It was random. There were no specific patterns which is what made it confusing. Aslo, I notice that the theme manager is not recognizing anything but the default. What a mess. I wonder if I should just uninstall it and go back to v5.0?

Neil...one of mine was a copy, not a move ....the only thing I thought it might be was the decimal point in the folder name...  'toxic 2.0' ...ended up in new local as 'toxic 2'

No others had the decimal...and all moved OK...

Jafo: Could be.  The software looks for files with no extension initially.

Masterhawk: Thememanager is being updated to handle WB6.

I also had 2 that did not move. Both had decimal points in the folder name.

I ended up copying all of the folders to the new new location that were not copied. But, is it safe to delete them from the old directory? The program files are still there as well.

Perhaps the next time the program is updated they should put things back the way they were for XP users or maybe release 2 versions. One for XP and one for Vista since I don't like Vista and don't plan on upgrading.

Thanks
