Vista Hibernation problems

Anyone else running into the inability to enter Suspend or Hibernate about 90% of the time with WB6 skinning the system. I've been able to be trouble free with 10 consecutive Hibernates with Aero skinning, but when I switch to enable a WB6 skin (not skin dependant btw) it will fail on Hybernate (lockup). I did another 5 shutdowns and it failed 4 times of the 5. Disabling WB6 and it's back to normal.

Running XP here... but the few times I have set my pc to hibernate or suspend, I have enocountered no problems at all.

Guess you must be on Vista.

Guess you must be on Vista.

Don't let the title of the thread give it away. And I have no hibernate or suspend problems with Aero or WB5.5 skinning. Started just with WB6.

Just got back from hibernation.  No issues.
Using WB6 and vstyler's sexy skin.

It's not coming back from it, it's entering it, and only under Vista. XP doesn't seem to have this issue. Also, it's not something that happens every time, but something that's appeared since WB6 and wasn't happening with WB5.5 or no WB loaded.

Still having issues with this on latest 6.01 release.

I'm a college student, and put my laptop to sleep, and wake it up regularly. There are no issues on my end.

I never said "sleep". I said Hibernate... two totally different things and it's under Vista Ultimate not XP, only in Vista.

What Vista install? 32 or 64bit? I have tested it here and still can find no issues.

32bit on an Acer Ferrari 4005. I can duplicate it almost 90% of the time. It will lock up on hibernate. It gets very anoying because when it does you have to turn it completely off and back on. I hibernate 100% of the time when I shut down. Sleep just wasts my battery.

We tried it on a few different machines here and could not replicate this issue. Can you start up a ticket with us? Please write into support@stardock.com.

Sleeping doesn't make a difference to my battery. Hibernation just takes longer to start up, and as such is a waste of my disk space. I would try to replicate it myself, but I disabled hibernation.

Sorry I misunderstood your problem.

I might have the same problem here, but unfortunately I changed a few things at the same time and whilst I'm getting my machine freezing at times now after coming out of hibernation, it's a) intermittent, and b) I can't say for sure that WB6 is the cause. That said, it's only been happening for the last few days, I'll uninstall WB6 and see if I can track it down.

You don't have to uninstall WB to check. As long as it's not skinning Vista it won't matter. I have it installed, but I don't use it. Would be nice if it didn't load up a process when it's not skinning, but I guess that's too much to ask when SD writes code.

I started a ticket about this a while back and it didn't go anywhere. Kept getting the "We can't duplicate it here and we've tried everything short of buying a laptop like yours to try it." So I gave up on it... obviously I'm not going to buy you a laptop to fix this and you're not going to either so you tell me what's next?
