WindowBlinds 6 *titlebar nonsense*

Long story short, almost everything about WindowBlinds 6 seems to work. However, if I grab any window by the titlebar and hold on to it for about 5 seconds, the skin will disappear to reveal the magenta boarders. Any skin. What is going on? Below is the system information:

WindowBlinds version : WindowBlinds 6.0 (build 32 x86)

WindowBlinds is installed correctly on this PC
WindowBlinds appears to be activated on this PC
Your machine supports per pixel borders on WindowBlinds skins.

(Plug and Play Monitor) 1 is attached to Radeon X1900 Series

Catalyst 7.9 installed. Latest DirectX installed, AFAIK, but I can redownload again. Latest Realtek drivers. No strange programs running the background.

Current software installed:
Catalyst Control Center

Windows Live Messenger 8.1

Any ideas? Thanks a lot! I really appreciate it!

Screenshot?
What skins have you tried with?  How about just one?

I just tried in Vista and didn't see that.

This is a bug in the Microsoft Intellipoint 6.x mouse application.

If you kill ipoint.exe then the problem will go away.

Thanks! I knew someone here had a brain! That fixed it right up! Now, on to the next part: I kind of use IntelliPoint. Have you talked to anyone from Microsoft about what might be the cause of it? What exactly are they doing with their ipoint executable that angers WindowBlinds?

I get the same thing happen here...

It's nice to know what's causing it...

...I don't really like the idea of having to kill IntelliPoint though, since it controls my mouse button functions.

I can pretty much live with it till it gets fixed.

DigitalCHET hopes it will get fixed.

It is caused by their application switcher function.  They are switching window styles to take a snapshot of the window and are setting them back incorrectly.

Using a version of intellipoint from before they added this function (5.x and earlier) should work fine until Microsoft sort out their later version.

It's been a LONG time since Microsoft has fiddled with IntelliPoint. After researching the subject, it seems this has been an ongoing thing for quite some time. Not just for WindowBlinds, of course, but for many different applications. Not even an acknowledgement from Microsoft as of yet.
