How to register?

Apparently I am an idiot

So I am playing with some Stardock stuff today, and noticed that v1.0 of TweakVista totally disabled all the cool tweaks the beta had, so I shelled out $20 to register it, but the #@$# thing has no "enter registration serial number" button anywhere. Seems to me it would be built into the program. Now, after reading posts here, I have to use Stardock Central (woo hoo, another download manager...yippee...really...) to register it. So fine, I download it, and it illuminates me to the fact that I do not have a valid registration key for the FREE Dreamscapes download (huh?) and also, there is no entry on the list to register TweakVista. Where do I get my money back?

All the features should be in place for TweakVista.  No further registration needed.
Are there any features that appear not to be working?

You do not need to use Stardock Central to register TweakVista. You need to use the install package linked in your serial email, or you can use Stardock Central to download and install it. You can tell that you have the registered version because it will not have any features disabled.

Future updates will be most conveniently downloaded through Stardock Central, as it only downloads updated files, and it should activate TweakVista automatically for you (so that you do not have to enter the serial at any point).

GR, as usual, did a better job than I ever could.  Thanks GR.

So are you telling me that the download that has exactly the same filename as the eval download is different, and that I have to uninstall and reinstall? Seems like kind of an archaic way of doing things. I will try that tonight when I get home.

It is archaic. That is why we have Stardock Central.

You should be able to download the registered version from the Object Desktop section if you are logged in with a Stardock.net account that uses the email that you purchased with. It is probably a good idea to run the uninstall for the trial first, just to make sure it is removed from your system.

Thanks everyone. I must say I was wondering where to plug in my serial as well. When I installed it automatically uninstalled the eval and then installed the download in my email so I figured maybe the serial is unimportant since all the features work.

I wonder why they do not have a help button?
