Updates for Plus subscribers?

Just curious how or if we're notified of any updates to the product.  Don't particularly want to reinstall that client that Stardock uses for OD updates, as I'm only really interested in Objecdock.

Thanks!

Leonard Gray & jamesjfa the way to keep informed about updates to any Stardock product is to use Stardock Central. FREE

Stardock Central is an enhanced download manager that enables users to install and manage Stardock's software products.

As a download manager, it can securely and reliably deliver software content to users. It supports download resume, download queues, and mirrored servers.

It also includes integrated chat so users can talk to Stardock personnel directly or talk to people in the Stardock community, forums, and more.

Stardock Central is designed to allow Stardock to enhance its customer service abilities by combining software distribution, technical support, and community services into a single package

In addition, Stardock Central dramatically cuts down on piracy issues because each user must have a valid serial number which must match with Stardock's own secure internal database.

You will be asked to supply the e-mail address that you used to purchase your Stardock products.

After installing SDC (Stardock Central) it will update itself. At this point Choose NOT to show pre-release versions of your Stardock products.

Follow this Tutorial FIRST to archive your current version of ObjectDock

WWW Link

After archiving your current version, choose Misc from the menu on the left. Make sure that Show Pre-release versions is checked at the bottom of the SDC window. Now you will see that the current version available for download of OD+ is 1.90i(b).20

Er... call me thick, but the original poster specifically stated that he does not want to install and use Stardock Central! I'm in the same boat - at the moment I don't have any of my Stardock software installed because I was only actually using one application (Enhanced File Dialog) out of Object Desktop, ObjectDock and CursorXP. I got fed up of having a much larger application installed (and as far as I could tell, running processes in the background) to keep up to date with an application that is under 100kb in size...

The original poster stated "Don't particularly want to reinstall that client that Stardock uses for OD updates" and the reply is accurate in that the "updates" notifications are through the Stardock Central program. It is the users choice to use SDC or not.

Hmm, that is not quite right, You can also use the "Registration" Page in Your settings here on WC, if Your customer and Wincustomize accounts are properly linked or just go to the Stardock support page ( Klick ) to get a mail with the link to the latest version and Your serial. I fully understand that people don't want to install SDCentral for only one product.

how or if we're notified of any updates to the product
The answer is that you are not notified.  You have to activly look for an update.  Stardock apps don't have a "call-home" function or a "check for updates".  SDC handles that for all their apps.  Not bad marketing.
