Tune Up has it's own skinning engine of sorts.  I'd bet there's something going on there.

Where did you obtain this copy of WindowBlinds? You should have better results if you remove this copy, reboot and install either the 'trial' version or purchase the full version at - WindowBlinds

Is the software that was on your fathers computer a trial version or a paid version?

Important question as it will dictate how if any help can be provided. If it was a trial version the 60 day trial could very well be up. At any rate, if a software package is on a computer and registered, you just can't remove it and put it on a another computer and expect it to work.

If it was a paid version find the email that Stardock would have sent when it was purchased. See if it is still current, (one year from purchase) if it is, contact Support@Stardock.com., they will need the serial number from the message and the original email address that was used.

Once you do the above, TuneUp Utilities could very well cause a problem as Zubaz pointed out.

This speaks of paid:

was this a standalone download/install or was it downloaded and installed via the Stardock Central Browser (aka SDC)?

some of the dates don't match what I show for 5.5 (build 92 x86)

try uninstalling, rebooting, get SDC, register your serial, use SDC to download and install the latest version you're entitled to based on the date of your purchase

Maybe not Philly0381

I'm thinking some of those dates may mean my way is not an option..

what I show for this build via SDC:

Wblind.dll 2007/02/21 check
Wbsrv.dll 2007/02/07 check
Wbconfig.exe 2007/02/15 whoa nelly....
Wbload.exe 2006/03/13 not even close...
Wbhelp.dll 2004/09/18 check
Wbui.dll 2005/12/06 check
Tray.dll 2006/04/28 a minute off?
Wbload.dll 2005/01/22 missing in action

I'm with Hankers, where did this come from?
