No Credit Wallpapers

I'm not sure I posted this in the appropriate spot, but I was wondering what the protocol is using a wallpaper (have done the research) and don't know who to give credit to for it?  This would be wallpapers from places other than WC.

That would depend on what the "use" was for. If you wanted to include it in a screenshot and it was obscured enough that someone couldn't easily extract the wall then that would be OK. If not obscured then (as has been mentioned in other postings) - "so essentially the screenshot becomes unauthorized distribution of the wall, or, in other words a copyright issue."

You would need permission from the author.

If your just using it in a Screen shot and its properly covered like Hankers has said , just say " Author Unknown " your not obligated to hunt the author down just to use the wall in a SS.

Its nice to include all info but sometimes you just don't remember ..

Thank you all for your replies, the wall that I wanted to use if for a logon screen, I submitted the logon but not sure it will be accepted without the proper credit, and as I stated before, I've researched this particular wallpaper and can't find who it belongs to. I just don't want to create problems. I'm new to submitting things so I just want to make sure I know what to do. I tried researching the forum as well about this topic but was not able to find anything. Hence the reason for posting here.

You would need written permission from the author to use the wall for a logon.
