Wallpaper Options

Has anyone had any success with the Wallpaper Changer working correctly? I can get it to change as scheduled, but it never uses my choice of Tiled, but stretches everything (except for when I first set it). Is this a known issue?

If you are not already try using Theme Manager:

Is Theme Manager the same as Stardock Central?

no - but you can use Stardock Central to download it

you're setting wallpaper mode in WB config to tile, yes?
are the regular wallpaper settings (right click desktop, properties, desktop) set to tile?

Yes to both of your questions. And both the regular wallpaper tab in Display Settings and Windowblinds preview show the wallpaper as tiled. And if I manually select a new wallpaper in WB it will tile it. It's only when the auto changer moves to a new wallpaper that it begins stretching. And it will do that from that point on unless I manually reassign the wallpaper again. I have been to duplicate this behaviour on two different computers so it doesn't appear to be machine specific.

Is anyone able to explain what's going on with this, or duplicate the problem?

Am I posting this in the wrong place or something? Is no one able to confirm or deny this behaviour?

Jeff,

Could you send an e-mail to support@stardock.com and reference this thread?

This problem also exists in WB6.

Noted we will get right on that one. What OS are you using?

I've tested it on both XP Home and XP Pro.

It would be great if thumbails should be sorted alphabetical by default (are they sorted by size for now ??), and if we can see the name on mouse over each ...

Any responses to this? I haven't heard from support on this, either, after opening a case with them and referencing this thread.

Do you have a ticket number I can look up your query with?

No, I do not. I never received a reply from support@stardock.com. All I did was send them an email with the url of this thread, requesting that they reference that for the issue. One thing I've noticed with both 5 and 6 is that when you initially load Windows your current wallpaper will be tiled if you have so selected, but as soon as it changes to the next one it stretches it.

Hi Jeffrey,

I see what you've written there and have reproduced this problem here.

It looks like with WindowBlinds 6 the behavior is as expected.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. I am unsure if any additional WindowBlinds 5 updates are planned, but I will report this to the developers in case any are.

I did receive that message when I reported the problem for WB5. However, the issue is still occurring with WB6. Are you saying that's the way it's intended to work??

Actually, you haven't made me aware of the situation. You've noted that it is an issue with WB5. You have not addressed the fact that it also happens in WB6, nor has anyone confirmed that they can duplicate it. In fact, you haven't even addressed the issue. Drop the attitude or get out of customer service.
