Oh well, in any case for skirmishes you can always imitate them with a custom race, even if they would disappear completely from Twilight

They'll still be in the regular game (that'd be pretty lame to take races OUT for an expansion) but they'll be gone in the campaign.

Wait...

Were all of the Drath wiped out? I've been told they were, and the game says so, but the Drengin had been warring with the Drath before the final assault on their homeworld. Wouldn't some be still alive as slaves before the Drath world was annihilated? Or was every single Drath killed by the Korath, even slaves? And what about their agents and like-wise in other cultures, do you expect me to believe they were eliminated too?

It just doesn't fit. Some Drath might have already been slaves or agents in other cultures, how would the Korath have annihilated, say, your (DA character you play as)'s personal slave, or an agent on Earth?

So who has been exterminated/changed as of the end of DA. I don't have DA and probably won't be able to get hold of it until (or if) it gets released in the UK stores, so I'd like to know what's been happening in the campaign after the Terrans left for the Dread Lords realm.

Well, basically every Drath (see my other post for doubts) has been wiped out.
The Korx worlds were all conquered and a handful left to resettle elsewhere.
The Korath have been defeated, but not completely wiped out.

It is admittedly unlikely that every last Drath was killed, but then one Drath does not a civilisation make. It's more likely that the Drath Legion as an organised government was destroyed, their military and industrial capabilities obliterated, and the racial remnants enslaved or exiled. Think about what happens when any planet is conquered in GC2 -- you go in with 1000 troops, and if the planet falls the planet population doesn't drop to 1000; you're actually left with several million. This is because the planet's armed forces are removed, the government replaced, and the rest of the inhabitants "persuaded" to cooperate with their new masters. So there's undoubtedly some Drath left, though they have no capability of asserting themselves on a galactic scale.

That's my opinion, at least.

I agree with Elvis, there is a distinct difference between a species and a civilisation. The Drath as a galactic power are not more.

The Altarians however...

Um... I agree with the first part, but the second is completely off.

You go in with 1 billion, not 1,000. When you found a colony with '500 people' you get a colony with .5 billion, not 500 people.
