Here are instructions to exclude an app from being skinned with WB5. You can give it a try.
make sure to exclude the game and teh security app.

Excluding app doesn't seem to do any difference. I still get the error.

Error began to happen after X-trap released their newest version on September 13,2007. Before that date WindowBlinds didn't had any problems with it.

Here is the message I get from the Error

"CODE_FIELD [30-0400-00000000-033]"
"The game execute file is not normal or an abnormal memory access has been detected."

Have you contacted the x-trap or game vendor?

I did reported the problem, but they told me to come here and ask.

Other than that I haven't got any technical solution about the problem.

Locate wbsys.dll on your machine (in the windows\system32 directory) and rename it to wbsys2.dll

Now run the game.  Does this help?

Not at all, same problem.

Well no worries then, I'll try to force those people to fix their crappy security program that ironically blocks Windowblinds 5 but doesn't seem block bot programs.

Anyway many thanks to everyone who has replied with their suggestions. I really appreciate it.

Bird, I have the exact same problem as you do, yes it started happening for me after the Sept.13th patch, but for another game called Hero Online. I've sent them a 1:1 but no response yet. You're not the only one, all my friends who plays game with X-trap now all can't use their WB.

Pity... X-trap blocks WB but doesn't block botting programs to exploit the game.

This is absolutely hilarious... I posted on Hero's forums, and one of the forum moderator says that WindowBlinds has LOADS of spyware and Adware on it...... Lawl......... Trying to make an excuse not to fix it.....

Yeah - I went to read those forums...these are quotes from their members:

- eew, spyware ftl.

I wouldn't have that crap installed on my computer anyway. You shouldn't either. Spyware and malware all over it. (Posted by a forum moderator)

- Ah, WindowBlinds; the program that makes your desktop look better than Vista, at the same time as clogging up your RAM and hard drive, making your PC boot twice as slow, and making half your games not work without changing skin settings.

Fun stuff. You're better off getting tutorials on how to modify XP DLLs to hardwire the skins into Windows. (Posted by a guy with the title Senior Helper)

Funny. WB5 doesnt lower my RAM as much as WB4. She boots normally and the speed its just normal. No virus/spyware/malware detected on it either.

If they don't want to fix the conflict with programs then they'll have some loses from people like me
