Hello peeps. Gots me 'nother new issue. Seems like every time I get one resolved,
another new one pops it's ugly head up out of the proverbial ground.
Anyways...I can't get past the loading screen anymore. The background music
plays while loading. I wait 5 to 6 minutes, and the in-game music kicks in.
But instead of the game screen popping up moments later (as it used to) the
loading screen stays put. I've even tried waiting up to 20 minutes, to allow
for some sort of extreme wait-while-I-figure-out-this-number-crunching-mess
slowdown of my PC. But to no avail.
At first, this issue was only affecting the "autosave"
and "Previous Autosave" files. But now it's also moved into the "Quick Save"
and Named Manual Save Games.
Updating ATI drivers (From 7.5 to 7.8) had no effect. Nor did a full re-install.
The problem appears about 1500+ turns into ANY saved games.
The only way to get out of it, is to use my windows key to force minimization,
then to End Task the game. Has anyone else come across this? Is there some
work-around of fix?
