Yahoo Music Jukebox and Windowblinds

I'm using Vista Ultimate, the latest version of WindowBlinds and the latest version of Yahoo Music Jukebox, when I run YMJ and WB together YMJ opens briefly then closes after an error message, when I run YMJ without WindowBlinds there are no problems, when I run YMJ with WindowBlinds and exclude YMJ from skinning through the per application setting YMJ stays open until I select any item from the YMJ toolbar, also the bar at the top of YMJ is totally transparent, the default YMJ skin does not show completely. ANy help would be appreciated....Thanks... David

I have similar behavior with Vista Ultimate and YMJ using a My Colors Theme (the only Stardock product I am using).

The only way to get YMJ to work is to uninstall the Stardock theme and revert to the Vista themes.

If a My Colors Theme is installed, YMJ crashes at login, even though I have added all the ymj programs I could find into the excluded programs box.

Query: Could this be another dreaded Vista permissions issue?

As far as I am aware, YMJ or any other Yahoo app (That I have so far witnessed) does some kind of non-standard custom painting that makes it impossible to work alongside WindowBlinds. Usually adding any .exes to the Per Application (exclusion) list will suffice, but sometimes even that can have no effect depending on how erratically an app might be built.

Our numerous attempts to contact Yahoo on this previously to seek a resolution have unfortunately received no response.

It's just another reason to cancel an account to Yahoo Music Jukebox.

Ah ha! Another satisfied Yahoo Music customer!

I am paid in advance for another year and a half, based on their up-front discount, so I have too much invested to abandon ship at this point. I have a boatload of "rented" songs downloaded, and actually enjoy the service.

Too bad the problems can't be worked around as of yet

This is true of almost all Yahoo products. If anyone gets some kind of insight into this matter please let support@stardock.com know. We have received no insight from Yahoo themselves.

Not to go off on a tangent, but I was an extremely happy Musicmatch Jukebox customer, and then had to deal with the buyout by Yahoo. I had nothing but problems with both their player and their service. I found the player to be anything but user friendly, and nearly featureless. I went to Rhapsody and though they have their own problems, it definitely is not the nightmare that YMJ became for me. And to reference something that Seabass said, I feel that Yahoo's products have issues all the way around. Even their Messenger is unstable and unpredictable, signing in and out at random, some times repeatedly.
