New Multiplicity 1.21 questions

Two quick (I hope) questions on the new update:

Can I disable the pop-up connection/disconnection balloons?  As an advanced setting?

And what exactly does this change mean?

"Added options under Secondary Machines on primary to be able to use a monitor on a secondary that has multiple inputs to display the screens from multiple different secondaries as you switch between them. "

I've tried to parse this into English, but it escapes me, hehe.

BTW This program only gets better and better.  Thanks.

Under the settings of the program click on the Interface tab and uncheck “Show status window when connected”.

The super short version of what that means is from the primary, if you click on configure when highlighting a secondary, you will see a new drop down box. It is labeled Monitor Control. You can change what the secondary monitory (if it has multiple inputs) displays. Or basically have secondary display other secondaries.

That might not quite clear it up but now that you know where the new toy is go play with it. I think you will find it’s pretty cool.

Thanks, there is a another thread touching on some of these, so that helped.

Note that the Show status window you mentioned does not affect the NEW pop-up balloons of v1.21. They keep coming up whether the box is checked or not.

1.21 is currently a beta.  Registered customers can download the beta by installing SDC and entering their MP/MP Pro serials into it and enabling show pre releases.

OK, I managed to figure out what "SDC" was, got it installed, registered my serial # etc, and have 1.21 on my master machine. Now how do I find the installer so that I can install it on all of my slave machines?

Install SDC on those machines too

I guess I'll pass. Seems like a little too much work for me to help beta test a product.
It's worth the effort if you use two seperate PCs close to each other.

Is the beta limited in the number of users allowed? I have show prerelease versions checked in SDC, but am still not seeing anything more recent than 1.20.

In SDC go tools | Settings
Then choose Internet
Click the last button, "Refresh XML Data"
See if that doesn't help.

Switched servers on the same page?

Yes, tried both US1 and US2.

I'm in the US and not seeing it, if you're somewhere else it doesn't seem likely it's country related.

I was talking to some of the guys in #SDCentral, and it seems that for some odd reason the beta is enabled if you have MPPro, but not if you have MPStandard

Hello!

I have a very interesting question about this application. Im currently working with installating windows xp/2003 server in diffrent classrooms, each class that is going to use windows xp/2003 server always use diffrent addons and stuff. So everyday after windows is done installed i have to run back and forth to fix the settings that needs to be fixed manualy to make everything running ok.

I have come up with a idea that using remote is a very nice way to use to fix these settings, and while im waiitng for each computer to connect to the domain or start i can keep working in my office with another computer.

So my idea is like this in short words, i go the class room and just start the multicasting and start the ghost extraction. Then i go back to my office and work with another computer and once windows is done it will show upp on my screen through the remote then i just fix the small settings where i am when the computer have started.

But the only problem i have to make this work is each time windows is finished installed it changes ip and it will be very annoying to find right computer since each computer always uses diffrent ip numbers and same username so my real question is is it possible to make the remote working through MAC-Adress?

PS: Sorry for the load of text but it seemed to be the easiest way to explain the situtation

Multiplicity is not a remote application.
I don't know of an app that does waht you ask.
You might have more luck startign a new thread instead of using this one.
