The Shape Of Things

Discovering WinCustomize, and the imaginative creativity and kindness put forth by its Members and Skinners has continued to make my computing experience fun and enjoyable. Thank you all.
I do have some technical questions which I post here, not really knowing if this is the appropriate location.

1. After downloading certain Rainlendar Skins, I see the Days of the Week on the Calendar are too close together; they overlap. This occurs only occasionally when the Days are abbreviated with 3 letters i.e. Sun, Mon, Tue etc., and therefore makes the skin unusable or undesirable.
I've just started using Sysmetrix recently, and I see the same problem on some of those skins as well; some of the words or phrases overlap or are not quite lined up correctly.
Is there something (simple?) I can do to resolve this problem, or is the problem a result of how the Skin was built?
Any advice would be much appreciated.

2. This may not be a WinCustomize issue. It could possibly be a rookie-user issue! After each successful download, a warning message "Unexpected parameter 'C:\Docume" (etc.) appears from Rainlendar2. This message pops up with any completed download, not just a Rainlendar download. When I click "OK" another warning message pops up, containing a top-to-bottom list of command letters followed by a brief description of what that letter command does.
I'm lost on this one! Did I perhaps make a wrong choice in my initial setup of Rainlendar, and as a result this message appears? Does anyone know of a solution, short of deleting and reinstalling?

Thanks for taking the time to review these issues.

Hi, Tarney ....my guess is that you're having a font problem - the overlapping text.  Skins will often have a font file included, intended to be used with that particular skin.  If that font isn't installed/found in the system a default is used....with results as you see.

Any skin file format can be downloaded by right-click save-as and rewrite the extension to 'zip' so the file can be opened and viewed - always a handy idea if/when things are not working right.

If you then see a font file [ttf] double click it to instal...then try the skin again....see if there's an improvement...
