Stand allone, I got the downloadlink yesterday from stardock, it was a gift from my brother. It is the second program from stardock I use the other one is Deskscapes.

früher noch zu MacOS Classic Zeiten habe ich unter anderem Kaleidoscope ein Programm mit ähnlicher Funktion wie WindowBlinds nur halt fürs alte MacOS ins deutsche Übersetzt. Nervig war dabei eigentlich nur die History.
Naja damals war auf meinem Desktop noch jeder einzelne Pixel von mir. Seit meinem Wechsel auf Windows XP reichte mir der freie Patch. Aber was es derzeit an Styles für Vista gibt überzeugt mich so gar nicht. Aber bislang erlebe ich WindowBlinds auch nicht als wirklich den Treffer .
Also bislang nahm ich unter WinXP ein mir genehmen Style änderte die Icons meist mit TuneUp und ging mit nem ResEditor in manches Programm um mir ungenehme Icons auszutauschen.
In Mac Zeiten modete ich alles selber einschließlich der System- und Finderdatei kein Programm welches bei mir längerfristig lief blieb verschont lach.
Vielleicht sollte ich mal wieder anfangen .
Werde mir nun einmal Deine Seite anschauen.

six days ago I asked here for help, at the same day I wrote a email to stardock support with the same questions. And till now I noticed no reaction by stardock. 48 hours reaction time should be somehow faster!!!!!!!!!

if not check, check your spam folder

the autoreply should have 'followup if no response' instructions, so your followup won't drag you back to the end of the line.

I believe you can also log into helpserve and check your ticket.

have your tried uninstalling, rebooting and then downloading, installing with SDC (Stardock Central Browser/downloader/installer/updater/etc)?

I have noticed in postings that the standalone has different file dates than the one downloaded installed via SDC

oh i do not use google to translate. I use my brain.

Installing WB with SDC makes no difference. But now I know what the problem is. If I run WB as administrator it is able to install the skins correct and so I am able to use the skins.
