Video overlay of desktop hidden behind IconX

New feature request

VLC and several other programs allow the entire desktop background to become a video display, but unfortunately, IconX places the try windows background behind it as it uses the entire desktop. If you set the wallpaper to none, IconX just shows the color of the desktop and you can't see any video behind it.

There needs to be a way to make the background of IconX transparent so that you can see the true desktop background.

Set the desktop background to the colour used by the overlay.  It is probably RGB (1,1,1) or something similar.

You should be aware that overlays are incompatible with per pixel alphablending and so anything semi transparent will blend against the background colour, not the video you are playing which is likely to look a mess.

Thank you, Neil. I will try that and report back.
