Multiplicity suitable for teaching purposes?

I hope this is not a FAQ. I have a very specific scenario that I would like to use Multiplicity for, and I was just wondering if this is feasible:

I do some private computer tutoring. During the lessons, the students and I use two computers in parallel, so I explain something on my computer, and they recreate it on theirs. Sometimes, they mess something up, so sometimes I have to grab their mouse and keyboard to fix things. Could this be avoided with Multiplicity? Is it possible for someone to work on the secondary PC with a mouse and keyboard, and then the primary PC takes over for a moment and then returns control to the mouse/keyboard attached to the seconday PC?

As long as the PCs are right next to each other MP could be useful in your scenerio.
