I signed up for 20 bucks ..how do i use tis stuff?

What the hell?

Disclaimer, I am new at this!

Hi all, I thought once I subscribed to Stardock / WinCutomisze
I could use themes downloaded from the site on my Xp machine.
Do I have to buy the desktop x product as well ? Gheeze, one only gets wallpaper for $20 ?

Download & install the top one [Stardock Central]

Using Stardock Central, you can download and try many of the software products most of us use to customize our computers.

Some of the trials are somwewhat limited, but by testing them, you'll get an idea whether you'll want to buy them or not.

Some of them are free software products, and others are pay-for, but once you start using them, you'll [probably] be hooked, and will likely never want to see the bland XP interface again..

Most of the people who post on these forums are very helpful, if you have any questions regarding any of the software ...but keep your questions to this [one] thread ...since it's yours [you started it] ...it'll make it easier for you to keep a track on any questions you might have....

Enjoy

Sounds like you have confused a site subscription(Wincustomize) with Stardock software...two different critters.

I would sujest to buy Object Desktop that way you have most of Stardock program software.

It is well worth the money.

Object Desktop Link: https://www.stardock.com/products/odnt/

Like Erk. says there are a lot of free trials to most of stardock software.

WinCustomize is this website that has many of the themes, skins, etc. that are used by various products such as Windowblinds and IconPackager, along with things like wallpapers, icons, and such.

Many of the applications are created by Stardock.  You can purchase most application separately, or the biggest value is to purchase a subscription to Object Desktop.

If you feel something was in error, please contact sales@stardock.com.

You know.. it IS a bit misleading. For instance, I click on the Windowblinds link on the right and this is the description for the Windowblinds category.

WindowBlinds
WindowBlinds changes the look and feel of your Windows Desktop by applying visual styles to your entire Windows environment. When a visual style is applied, they change nearly every elements of the Windows GUI such as title bars, push buttons, the Start bar, menu and more.

Shouldn't it be something like...

Windowblind themes require a separate software applications to be used.
