Cannot Install on Vista

Each time I run the WB6 beta it tells me to reboot.

It suggests turning off spyware/virus protection and reinstalling, but I'm not sure that Windows Live OneCare will let me do that, if it even is getting in the way.

Any suggestions?

I turned off Live OneCare virus and spyware protection, uninstalled WB6b and reinstalled it and it still tells me to reboot.

Running WindowBlinds as administrator doesn't seem to help either.

Help!

This fixed it: https://forums.wincustomize.com/?forumid=167&aid=157557

Just installed this .reg file and reboot, and bluescreened, and reboot, and now it works great. Go figure.

I have the same problem: WB6 keeps giving an error message stating to turn off my antivirus/etc., and reboot; but whenever I do that, WB still isn't installed, and if I run it manually, it gives the same error message again.

The exact error message is: "This machine MUST be rebooted after installing this version of WB5. if you have rebooted and still get this message, you may need to disable any registry protection/anti spyware apps you have and reinstall WindowBlinds, as they may be incorrectly preventing the install."

For some reason, I can't run the script above. It returns an error: "Cannot import wbservices.reg: The specified file is not a registry script. You can only import binary registry files from within the registry editor."

Any suggestions?

I'm not sure how you are attempting to run the script. If you have only saved the part in the box as a text file with a .reg extension, and then double-click on the file, it should merge the entries into the registry.
