That is perfectly normal.

The blur options in WBconfig control the blur on the titlebar.  The client area is still allowed to blur because thats what the app expects.  Without the blur it would look very odd (totally transparent).

Turning black when maximized is also correct.  This is how it works with Windows Aero as well.

How can I change that? Is SS 6 required? Otherwise Diamond is great.

My point wasn't that it's not working correctly, it's that it looks bad. It should be skinnable.

I agree. Looks terrible and needs to be skinnable. As far as I can tell, the glass area is handled by the DWM and not the app, the app interfaces with the DWM to extend the glass area. So this should be skinnable, surely?

That is how the DWM works.  All client area transparency in apps is disabled when they are maximized.

Mine works well and I don't really use that MS style stuff too much here...
