Icon Dragging issue

Hello,
I have ObjectDock Plus 1.9 installed now. I use Windows XP Pro and ObjectDock was working fine until about 2 weeks ago, on the version before 1.9. For some reason, I can't drag the icons along the dock. The 'lock dragging' isn't checked. I tried both checking and unckecking and neither way helped. With locked dragging checked I can't move the icon at all which makes sense but, with it unchecked, I can move the icon only slightly. I can't move it more than have way past the icons it's next too without it bouncing back into it's position. I decided to update it to the 1.9 version but, that didn't help at all. I haven't tried another install. Does anyone know what may cause this or if there is another option I need to turn on/off for it to work?

Oh, I forgot to mention that I have tried various 'background appearances' and that didn't seem to work either. I use the Windows Classic default theme.
Thanks

Hi HighSeas,

Hrm, I see. I haven't heard of anything liek this before particularly but I've made note. Quick question, your mouse, "left handed" or "right handed"? (E.g. is the orientation of the mouse buttons switched)

Thanks

Hi JMBdev,
You are correct. I have the mouse buttons switched and I am using it in my left hand.
This is my work computer and because I have 'de Quervain's Disease' (WWW Link I am trying to minimize the possibility of it reoccuring. If it occurs again - a third time - I will most likely need surgery. I am right handed. I will try switching the mouse buttons and let you know what happens. If that doesn't work, I will try every side of both monitor screens to see if there is a difference. Right now I have it set on the bottom of my primary monitor(ATI X300 video). I am an admin on this computer because I work in the IT department on the Help Desk. Thank you and I will be in touch.

Ps. I just got back in at work so, I just now responded. Thanks once again!! I take it you work on Stardock support.

Hi JMBdev,
That did it. I switched the mouse from left handed to right handed and it worked. As soon as I switched it back, it went back to not allowing the drag. I stopped and started the dock after each switch but, before trying the drag. I am unable to find any option to switch to left hand in the dock settings. I need to use my left hand for health purposes that I mentioned earlier. Please let me know if you guys find anything out about this. In the meantime, when I have time, I will try to disable things in the 'troubleshooting options' screen to see if any of that works.
Thanks again.

I tried the troubleshooting options but, that didn't seem to help at all. I then just changed my mouse buttons again, moved the icons I wanted, and then changed the mouse back. An inconvenience but, easily done.
Thanks

Highseas: Thanks for bringing up the issue, I'm very happy (for both of us) that we could identify the problem so quickly Problem was around the swapped mouse buttons and handling that correctly. Fixed for the next release (not for the beta that will be out today/tomorrow, but the next one that'll come out)

Thanks,

Best Regards,

^ Thanks. Holding down both buttons worked. The crazy way things work sometimes.
