hmmmmmmmm........i think there should be a whole separate (u could still design them in the game) "program" as it were, lets say another button on the main menu, to design your ships, because the existing one has some limitations that make it harder to make a ship. If someone made a whole new ship designing layout to design ships in greater detail, and then implement them into the game you r playing, it would seem more, realistic i suppose ???

An external program would not allow any more detailed ships, as the same components would be available.

But, if you did it outside of the game you would have to keep track of which techs you needed to unlock the ship, because an external program would have the components for every tech available. Designing in-game assures that you only design ships with the techs you currently have available.

the only techs that are required for ships are the size of hull, u could add the weapons in the game
ObjectDock - Access shortcuts and frequently used applications from an animated dock.

A way to kind of do what you want is start a game with the 'Battle of the gods' scenario, with this scenario you have all techs and hull sizes available. I use it to design ships for custom races I want to create in the future.

I'm just confused on whats wrong with the ship build we have, what a separate one would have and why we would need it.

For some people, playing the game and designing ships are relatively independent, sometimes I start up the game just to create some ships. So for that reason, it would be nice to have an independent program and/or some more options to organize your designs.

For me personally, maybe the editor could be a little more streamlined, but I think an external program is not really necessary considering the effort which would be needed making it.

im not saying like a whole different program, im saying like u know the metaverse and continue game and load game ect. buttons on the main menu..............just an extra one for ship building and such, cuz i dont like that i have to start or go back into a game to design a ship.
