Common dialog icons

Win XP Pro SP2. I've downloaded latest IP, applied package and everything looks good in Explorer and every other application I use except all common dialogs (open, save, choose directory etc). Tried rebuilding icon cache and rebooting but it didn't help. Is it by design like that (I mean that common dialogs have 'hard coded' calls to shell32.dll icons) ?

Not too sure what the problem is, but I must say that I've had the same problem, only not with IP (as I don't use it).

A while back I used TuneUp 2007 to replace my icons, which worked properly except in common Windows dialogs. I looked through the comdlg32.dll file structure, and I can't see anything. Other icon packagers I have used work perfeclty. Didn't know that the problem existed with IP too.
