Metaverse League -- Team A

Metaverse League -- Team A

Hello fellow team A members!

These settings will be pretty tough for me at first. I usually do play medium maps, but I've never even gone for a tech victory! Any advice would be appreciated.

Good luck to everyone in this new league.

Good luck to Team A!

The glory and spoils of war to the victor!

We'll save you some, too.

I think you know I'm registered at the Core. Hell, I practically live there at times.

Pndrv let me know if you don't get your email and I'll see if I can get an admin to manually activate your account.

I haven't seen Mumble's post yet about the forum so if need be I can make the request over at the Core for it. I'll wait to make sure everyone's registered of course.

Thanks, Adder. It sounds like you know the Core much more than I do (I've hardly been there myself). Therefore, I would like to nominate you as captain. I think overseeing our forum will be the captain's main duties. Now and again we'll need to figure out who should shoot for which victory, but it sounds to me like you're much better with web/computers/Core than I am. Please let me know if you have any reservations about being captain.

When we're all registered at the Core, could you be in charge of letting the administrator know? If you'd like me to do so, I have no problem with that whatsoever.

Take care, and good gaming all!

No problem Mac. I think about the only thing captain will be for is to assign the games to the team members when we have independant victory conditions. I think we can kinda decide together which we would like to do when the time comes. I can handle the Core, just need to get Piznit in and make sure Pndrev is activated then we should be good to go and can get down to some strategizing   .

Ok, it seems that even without the activation email my account is active. So, I'm all set here.

Yes I checked with DaMoose and it's cool. We don't need a specific moderator for the team forums but you will need everyone registered, a name for the team and a list of the members. You may as well just ask one of the admins to set this up yourself when you're ready. It's just one less thing for me to have to deal with.

Piznit, are you registered yet? Once you are, I think we're all set for a private forum.

It's probably time to get strategizing as one team has already submitted a score (one that's about 1000 points above mine, btw!).

Registering right now, I was actually busy playing one of my 2 games to submit whichever score ends up higher. Im trying 2 different strats with the Arceans ))

And I will be Murdoch, the crazy one!

I pm'd Damoose and requested the forum. It may be a day or so before it gets setup.
Also Piznit, it is still showing your account as validating. Make sure you recieved an email and click on the link in it to activate the account. If for some reason you didn't get the email I can get Damoose to activate it manually. Just let me know.

Yeah, I havent gotten any email. I'll check into later today, I just got to work.

One thing to note was that I know of at least two occurances where there was no activation email sent and the account worked fine. Also I just checked Piznit's account and it is now showing him as a member instead of Validating so most likely the account is fine now as well.

Also it is clear that the admins at the Core will be involved with the move to the new host so there will be some delay in setting up the forums. Also from a post by Drengin the Core may actually be down for a day while the domain name is moved to the new hosts. Clearly the setup of any team forums will have to wait on this.

So the first game I finished for Team A just now didnt work out too well. My score wasnt what I hoped, so Im gonna finish the other game and see if that gets a higher score. Until we get a private forum I will leave it at that I suppose other than to say its the highest score I have achieved for a tech victory with the tech rate set at so slow a level.

Ok guys, we have a forum   . The only thing is I need to wait for the password and I'll then pass it along to you guys through private messages here. Then we can get to discussing this challenge.

The main forum is GC2 Metaverse League and Drengin was even nice enough to setup the league bar, where all teams can get together, chat, throw taunts around, all kinds of fun stuff like that   .

Thank you Drengin

I have PM'd the PW to everyone. For those not real familiar to the Core you can go right to theTeam A forum . Just don't forget to check out the rest of The Coreas well, as I think you'll find a little something of interest for everyone   .
