Interactive Fleet Battles

i have noooooooooooo idea how to do all that modding/programming stuff but i was wondering if it was possible for someone to make a mod were the fleet battles r a little more interactive? (cuz fleet battles, to me, r one of the highlights of the game)

kind of like a u urself fly the ship and shoot, not the computer, (somethin like that)

Well, I was more thinking that you could choose which enemy for your ships to shoot at, even though flying the ship yourself and shooting is cool, it sounds more like a shooting game than a TBS strategy game.

no offense or anything but a shooting game is something like halo (rough example)............a game were u fly around a shoot other flying thingzz, is a flight simulator (just want to clear that up)

and it wouldnt change the game strategy in any way, because u can make it so u can choose wether to have the computer do it automaticaly like normal, or u could have the choice to do it maually , kinda like Battle For Middle Earth 2
