O.D. for Dummies?

Hi All - just purchased Object Desktop and have found the documentation a little lacking for the "skinning rookie". I've become very comfortable with Photoshop over the years, so designing isn't the issue - it's the step by step "This Is How To Create Your Own Skin" process that I'm looking for. Any suggestions along these lines for a newbie? Thanks in advance for any ideas!
