I've been an Object Desktop and Wincustomize subscriber for so long I have a "Top 2 Veteran" user award, but I never knew about the Enhanced File Dialog. That being said, I loaded it on my primary computer running XP pro, and liked it.
My biggest gripe with Vista is the file management interface. If you don't like the "breadcrumbs" interface you are just out of luck. I've read a lot of other post to the same general effect that people hate it, but somebody will come out with an improved file interface. I love the Object Desktop products and the care that goes into making them stable. I'd love to see this company extend the Enhanced File Dialog into Vista. I personally would pay as much as I do for my whole OD subscription of $34.95 for a good file interface to Vista. I'm sure others would as well. But I bet that it is going to be one of those applications where the first few to get there will lock down the market.
I don't know if anyone even reads this board anymore. The last post was many months ago. If I don't get any responses, I'll probably plead my case on the wishlist board.
