Windows XP SP2 Logon Problems

I'm having difficulties changing Logon Pics...whenever I load a new pic, the Windows XP default pic is reduced to quarter size of the screen and the theme I've selected is nowhere in sight...preview on Logon is OK and I've selected User Accounts Welcome Screen and Fast User Switching..pls help...

You are using LogonStudio. The default pic in default XP is just the lighting in top left corner, the rest of screen if just filled with color that won't reduce in size.

If you are just changing bitmap_100 in other logons you should not be seeing anything that looks like default reduced in size.

To start; do you have LogonStudio installed and in use?

preview on Logon is OK


This implies you do, if so how are you changing logon pic?

Knowing what and how you are trying to do this will help me know what you may be doing wrong.

FYI, I have 71 logons uploaded here so I can help you, just needed to know answers to above questions and your expertise/comfort level to best help you.
Changing pic can be done in LogonStudio Editor or in the skin file, which would you be more comfortable doing.

Sorry, bro...yes I do have LogonStudio..

Ok here, goes...prog is running, I have a list of available Logons...I click on edit and the preview screen shows exactly what I want...then I click apply...it Logs off but no the way that I want it...

does it work with the default one's included?

the edit can't be use with some logons since they were put together different (gotta use the uifile to edit) - opening those in edit borks them

Sounds like Bichur may be onto something, if you are wanting to change pic in splash style logon you must do that in logon folder. Folder is at C:\Program Files\WinCustomize\LogonStudio. Open folder for logon you wish to change, first image in folder should be Bitmap_100.bmp, this is the screen pic, replace it with the pic you want to use.

make sure it's a real bmp, not a pic renamed to bmp

I'm also thinking any of those you tried that shouldn't be opened in LS, you might want to delete those and download fresh ones - in case LS already messed them up too much to use.

I have a question too - I use a logon from INVI called live http://007tinar.deviantart.com/art/LIVE-57924780 and according to its author it shows text about mails unread and programms running - but I do not see them. I see the rest (shutdown and stuff) I am on german xp

Any ideas??
