Tabs not "always on top" bug?

Has anyone run across a bug where the tabs to a dock, even if set to "Always on top" start to not be so for maximized apps? If I go in and re-choose that option, then they work again.

Me too, but the other way round. I don't want to have them always on top, but they are. have to check and uncheck the option again to get it right.

You can add me to this - I have a tabbed dock that I keep auto-hidden along the bottom edge of my screen, set to "always on top". My other docks seem to behave okay (big improvement from previous versions!) but this tabbed dock is constantly dropping behind everything. Usually if I hit "show desktop", right-click it and un-check "tabs always on top" and then right-click and re-check it, it's fine again... for a while. Can't seem to isolate what makes it mis-behave - whether it's a particular application I have open, etc. Just seems to happen randomly. Closing ObjectDock and then re-opening also resets it - again, for a while. Really annoying when I'm "in the zone" and I shoot my mouse down to the dock to open a shortcut and... it's not there.

Don't know if this is related, but I'm finding that the Icon Labels are not coming to the top (Z order) when the Tab Drawer has been activated (i.e slides out). They are there but appear behind any windows that are in front of them.

This is only for tabbed docks, zoomer docks work fine!

This occurs in the latest beta 1.90h, but it was there since the previous 1.90 release version also.

Happening for me too. I have mine set to hide when application is running maximized. When I close the app, the dock autohides on me (undesired). If I open "My Computer", the dock locks back in and stays on top, until I open another window or app, and it autohides again. There only seem to be two modes, auto hide, and always on top. Running 1.90 plus build 535u on Vista.

I'm having the same problem. I choose to hide the tabs and when I first start Vista the tabs appear even though 'tabs always on top' is NOT checked. If I check it then uncheck it I am good to go until I restart my machine.

I am running the 1.9 beta version of Plus. It was working fine until a few days ago. The Beta has been on for a few weeks. The previous version also worked OK.

Wonder if it's a Registry problem?

I found a pretty good workaround for my tab problem. Possibly it's a timing issue when OD starts up with everything else during Vista startup.

I downloaded a startup delay program and put a one minute delay on OD. It's possible a shorter delay will work for me. I'll test that out eventually.

I am using the beta version of the program. You can find it here:

I am running Vista Ultimate x32. I only started having this problem in the past few days or so. Maybe it was an MS update? I tried booting up without my usual programs and still had the problem.

The delay works nice. Another way is to manually start OD once Vista is up. Must be something interfering with this feature at startup.

While the autohide is now working the mouseover text will at some point start displaying underneath any window that is covering the text area. I haven't figured out what is causing this. It might be some web pages doing it, I really don't know.

Quiting OD and restarting gets things back to normal at least until it happens again.
