Desktop composition been partially disabled after uninstall

I installed TweakVista just for a quick fiddle but I like to keep my PC with as little software on it as possible so I uninstalled it when I lost interest but all my animations, like you get when you minimise and close stuff, have all gone. I've been looking through the registry and I've reboot DWM and my computer and all I can think of. I hadn't changed anything when I uninstalled it but desktop composition still seems to be working because the Start + Tab thing for Flip 3D still works.

Start > Right-click Computer > Properties > Advanced System Settings > Under Performance, click Settings > Make sure 'Animate windows when minimizing and maximizing' is checked.

Did you turn off "Enable window animations"? (in the Display section, Advanced tab). You need to have that on in order for window animations to display. PurrBall's advice should also work for that setting.

Note that just uninstalling the program does nothing to change your system back to how it was before. It is assumed that you want to keep the modifications that you make. If you want it back to the original state, you should reinstall TweakVista and reset the items to defaults, or use System Restore to go back to the install date.
