Mouse Over State

I have created an object layer that activates several other shortcuts. The activation is done by mouse over (found in object properties -> relation tab -> start with -> mouse over) now my question is: is there a way to hide that object once the mouse is no longer over the object?

Use "Mouse away" and set transparency to 1. If you set it to 0 then it won't recognize your mouse over.

I tried this but there was no "mouse away". Only mouse over, which means that you have to go over the object again in order for it to hide.

You need to add a state identifier.
