NOT using skin settings - no longer an option in WB 5.5?

I just recently started using WB 5.5. I had a pretty good experience with WB4 awhile back but I was stuck with a Mac for awhile for work.

But with WB 5.5, I'm looking everywhere and I don't see the option where you can uncheck 'Use recommended skin settings' or something like that...I downloaded a skin which I can apply with no problem. Then I make a few font changes, etc. Then I reboot and all my changes are gone, even though I saved them as a 'Favorite' theme.

Is this no longer an option with WB 5.5?

Wow, that really sucks. Going back to StyleXP then; may not be as dynamic but way more flexible...

You can make the changes to the skin in SkinStudio, then save the skin and the changes will be preserved. Or you can open the skin's .uis file in Notepad & make the changes there, though it is not as easy to find what you want to change.

What I recall from prior versions of WBConfig was an option to 'Use the skin's color scheme (recommended)' and an option to override the skin's fonts, both of which are absent in the current Config.

override the skin's fonts, both of which are absent in the current Config.

Rightclick on desktop..Properties...Appearance, Advanced...Here you can override the skins fonts as well as other settings

That doesn't work. It appears to work at first, but once you restart, the skin settings take over.
That WAS true with WB 4 & 4.5, NOT 5.5. Which I imagine is why the choice simply isn't there in the WB config anymore.

Ok, then intead try changing the fonts via the main Appearance window & make sure to hit apply after that should work at least for fonts

Dont' mean to BADH, but I don't recall font changes made through Display Properties ever sticking through a reboot, with WB3 or WB4. They always required changes in WBConfig or the skin itself to "stick" through a reboot. Making such changes in DP would "stick" for the duration of the session, but the skin/WB settings would re-apply on reboot.
