Moves of Starships

Hi, people...

I just thought about this and am not sure whether this has been suggested, so I will just give it a shot.

In Galciv2, spaceships have "moves", which are determined by the given speeds.

I recall that in some turn-based strategy games, a unit would be unable to fightback during other players' turns if it already has no more moves left.

Would similar method apply finely in Galciv2 ?

I think that this could be too easily exploited. You could have a weak ship that is slightly faster than your opponents' stronger ship; all you would have to do is get it to chase you, then double back and attack when it is helpless.

It'd require a substantial overhaul of how ships moved around, as well as how the AI handled them, so probably not.
