Stay hidden in background, and NOT pop up in another program

Alright, objectdock is really good, but there's one thing that's been annoying me. I prefer to have my docks hidden until I scroll to their location, then they pop up. That's all good until I'm online, for example. While trying to use the scrollbar on the right, the Dock just automatically pops up. Is there a way to keep it hidden so that when you scroll over it, it comes up, except when have programs open? I know if you set it to just stay in the background, that would work, except their not hidden anymore...
