Custom Fonts

I'm trying to use custom fonts in my custom logon screen. No matter what I set as the font in "User Name" the user names always show up with the default font in all states (normal, mouse over, and selected). What am I doing wrong?

You need to change the Theme.ini file for your skin, under the "strings" list, change the line which starts with "3=" it should say "3=tahoma", change tahoma to the name of your font that should work, hit ctrl-s and appy the theme it should change the font of the user name.

N.P. took me a while to figure out what some of those lines meant in the theme.ini file, now if only I can find the line that adjusts the size of the user name font

oh forgot, sometimes if you save and apply the skin through logon studio it reverts the text back to the original.

Generally, If you change something in the uifile or theme.ini and then reopen it in the Logon Studio editor, it will change your settings back to default.

As far as changing the size of the Username font, it is string 45, towards the bottom of the theme.ini. I believe 14 is the default size.

I'm using LogonStudio for Vista. Do you know how I would change the fonts for the log on screen in Vista?

Thanks
