Taskbar freezing

I am using object dock plus and i have an annoying problem.

On startup my taskbar freezes , no response at all , ive tracked it down to a running process associated with object dock SDMCP.exe , now simply turning this process off sorts the problem and seems to have no negative effect on object dock.

http://www.processlibrary.com/directory/files/sdmcp

How do i stop this process from starting in the first place? I cant find it either in msconfig or in the microsoft services list to disable it there.

It only takes seconds to do it manually but id rather the service didnt start at all

thanks in advance

ps its maybe worth noting i also use windows blinds and icon packager

DOH..apologies , i did that thing that normally really annoys me when others do it............I didnt search the forums first    turns out the service is used so you can group your taskbar icons in with Object Dock and as my firewall completely refuses to let me do this anyway (code injection) i couldnt use it even if i wanted to.

I turned it off via the options in object dock central , job done

Hope i didnt waste your time

However there is still a fault there , it does completely freeze up my taskbar with no hope of return , start button , taskbar , everything , unuseable . Needs sorting out tbh , ill e mail their tech support let them know.

cheers ta

yepper, unchecking the notification area support in SDC is the way to turn it off.

1.9 isn't supposed to need it to have the systray anymore, but other apps like Object Bar and DTX do.
