Custom Race Editing Idea & Quick Question

Comment: I'm liking the DA Custom Race Editing options except that it would be nice if there was a Noun/Pronoun option to go along with the Race Name line. I'm sure some of you remember that option in Alpha Centauri.

For instance: Terran Alliance ShipX is referred to as "Terran ShipX", not "Terran Alliance ShipX". I don't see why there couldn't be a way to incorporate this into custom races...

Question: I played the heck out of DL, but due to my job, I'm still a DA Newb. For some reason I've noticed that when playing with a custom race the other races keep referring to me as "Human"... I'm wondering if this has something to do with the Personality Tab in the Race Creation tab?

Yes the personality is responsible for the AIs texts. One of my custom races in my all custom universetold me that the yor had stolen their worlds... Also the text you see when starting a game is the same as the one of the original civ.

The conversations can always be changed by going into the Dark Avatar folder in My Documents and opening the custom race folder. Look for (In your case, it might say Human instead of Generic). Change the name to whatever name you want. You can even create your own custom dialog, although to do that you need to also mod the conversation file.

EDIT: I did some editing, and I found that this is not quite the case. When you select a different dialog tag, the game automatically switches the AI to match. It is frustrating, but that seems to be the way it works.
