Trying to add another instance of the "Extra Space"

Frequently I create a toolbar where I would like to insert some space between pop-up menus or icons on the bar.

Aside from entering a multitude of separators, I have found no way to do this.

What I would like to do is enter another instance of the "Extra Space" that shows up in every bar when it is first created, but I haven't found a way either to copy it or to enter new "Extra Space" from any of the commands.

Any ideas?

The thing about "extraspace" is that it fills whatever is left over.  If you have more than one, with elements in between, sizing would be crazy.  I'll think on this and see what I can come up with.

I right clicked on the dock and selected add new shortcut, that gave me the question mark icon, so I opened photoshop, made new pallet @ 256x256 and use the pencil to put one tiny dot in the middle and then save it as .png, I named it space. Then I went back to the dock icon, and changed it to my space icon and it appears empty.

Very ingenious noiram that would be the way to go

Assuming one owns photoshop.

Also I aassume one would have to repeat the process for every possible bar color and texture that you ever plan on using.

Personally, If I change a WindowBlind or a wallpaper I like to change the bar to match.

The Gimp and paint.net also work just as well as photoshop and are free. One .png works for all

object Bar - I just create a new shortcut = no destination, no name, no image

object Dock (since noiram brought it up) any blank png will work, such as this one
new shortcut. then dock entry properties, delete name, change image to blank png

hmmm.. just another link to it trying photobucket's html tag: feel free to copy and use as you wish

eh, needed to modify pb's ref link
