More information would be appreciated.  Are monitors 1-4 all attached to the primary?
What software are you using to manage them now?

oh... ok

yes 1-4 are attached to the primary PC

Monitor resolutions:
Primary(windows XP):
1 1024x768
2 1280x960 (primary monitor)
3 1280x960
4 1280x960

Secondary(windows XP):
1024x768

I am using the Multimonitor-feature of Windows and two graphic cards for this setup.

A specific description of what isn't working would be nice.

is it possible to move the monitor to the position where it physically is?
The mouse moves to the secondary PC only at the (left) border to monitor 4...

The image in my first post shows how it should work...

Senox: Your setup would work with Multiplicity to an extent*.

Each system that uses multiple monitors that's set up with Multiplicity will be treated as a single entity. So if you went into the Multiplicity setup, you would see two screens there, one representing your primary system (with four monitors), and the other to the left representing your secondary system (with one monitor).

Another criteria you fit is having your secondary's monitor aligned with monitor 1 from the primary. If you move your mouse off the left side of the top of monitor 1, it will end up on the top of the 2nd pc. If you move your mouse off the right side of the bottom of the 2nd pc, it will end up on the bottom of monitor 1. This scenario assumes these two monitors have the same resolution. The two monitors will be aligned at the top, in any situation.

*It looks like you would hope to be able to move off the bottom of the 2nd pc to the top of monitor 4. This would not be possible given the fact that you can only have one transition point between any two computers.

Thank you Milksama

I see...

If you move your mouse off the left side of the top of monitor 1, it will end up on the top of the 2nd pc. If you move your mouse off the right side of the bottom of the 2nd pc, it will end up on the bottom of monitor 1.

yeah! right! thats how it should work (except for the "from-the-top-of-monitor4-to-the-2ndpc"-thing)!

This is how it actually does "not" work:

http://img255.imageshack.us/my.php?image=unbenannt6ly4.gif

white: Mouse moves between the Systems, in every direction
blue: Mouse moves only from the 2nd PC to the top of the Monitor4 of system1
yellow(around 0-5% of 2ndPC): Mouse moves to monitor1 of system1, but not the other way round.
