Can't register serial number for GC

I purchased a download copy of Galactic Civilizations. However, when I try to register the serial number I get the following message:

"The email address you have entered does not match our records. Please try again.
If you have changed your email address from the one used during your orignial order, please contact support@stardock.com ..."

I'm sure I'm using the correct email address. It is the same one I used when I created the account, and I have not changed it.

One possibility is that I may have mistakenly entered the serial number for Drengin.net on the first attempt. (Didn't see the drop down box.) Would that cause it to be permanently messed up? Is there anything I can try?

I own two computers. Is it okay to install my copy of galciv on both of them and submit scores to the metaverse and download patches from both computers or will your system think that one is pirated and flag the serial number?

It's okay to install on both. The system looks for anomalous behavior. When people pirate, like posting to the net, it shows up in much different IPs and such. So in short, if you're in California playing at night at the hotel on a business trip, make sure your wife at home in New York isn't playing.

BTW, speaking of piracy, it's amazing how pirates are oblivious to the power of the net. We've had people actually submit scores into the metaverse using a pirated serial number.
