Problem with two monitors

Docks displayed in wrong place

Hello, I have two monitors plus a TV attached to my machine. When I want to watch a streamed video podcast on the TV, I have to switch the second monitor to TV out, and the second monitor goes blank while signal is sent to first monitor + TV (this is limitation of many video cards - the internal graphics processor is such that video is limited to two displays concurrently). The problem comes when I switch the TV out back to the second monitor. The Docks that USED to be on the second display remain on the first - and when I go into the Dock properties, I see that it is still displaying as on the second monitor, even though it's one hte first. In order to get it to switch over, I have to set the monitor of the relevant dock back to Monitor 1, then OK, then open the settings again and set it back to Monitor 2, the OK, and then it works. I also have a Tab that moves to the first monitor but then doesn't move back - I have to click and drag this manually back over to the second display.

Is there a fix for this?

Thanks

What's your video card? I have nVidia and it has settings for video/tv and apps that you can customize to avoid this.

noetus: I've made note of the problem in my log to take a look at - unfortunatly we're running around doing a lot of things so won't be able to address that specific one right at this moment, but I will say that we are indeed looking at improving ObjectDock's behavior in general regarding screen resolution and monitor changes in the future. (E.g. so tabbed docks don't get pushed into some unwanted position if you change resolution down temporarilly and go back, etc etc.)

Sorry that you're having a problem Hopfully we can get it resolved for you soon

ObjectDock and TabletPC don't always get along when you switch from landscape to portrait.  Not as bad as tiled windows in WindowsFX . . but that's a different thread.
