How do you start an empire?

So what happens if I want the Universe to bow down to the inevitable acceptance of Nalian might? Can I start my own empire and if so how do I do this? Be aware that one day all shall grovel at my knees, so it is best to begin now. LOL(A deep evil LOL that is.)

Set yourself up as emperor of your little corner of the metaverse and then strike fear into your enemies.

Just go to Account->Edit my Empire on the metaverse website to set one up.
