Multiplicity not working on XP after reinstalling windows

Hi everyone

Was hoping you could help me with an issue i have. I had installed Multiplicity on my work machine and my laptop. My Laptop was secondary to my work machine. Everything worked beautifully until just recently when i needed to reinstall windows on my laptop. Once i got the machine up and running again, and i reinstalled multiplicity, it no longer works. I've checked to ensure that I am using the correct ip address, and that all the firewall rules are in place and the port is opened.

Here is the odd thing, when i setup the laptop to be primary, and my work secondary, it works. well every 15seconds i notice a brief 1 second interruption where Multiplicity disconnects.

Is there some networking setting I'm unaware of that i should be checking?

Are you sure both machines have the same version of Multiplicity?

Yes, both have the same version info. I'm thinking that it must be a setting in windows as this worked perfectly prior to my reinstallation of XP, I just cant figure out what that might be.

I felt I should let you all know that Multiplicity is now working correctly. I'm still a bit confused as to what the issue was but it is resolved.

After I installed Multiplicity on my laptop, I rebooted the machine as I was instructed. after trying to get it to work, I put up this thread for help. I just rebooted my laptop and noticed that the connection was established between the two computers yet I still was unable to move from one machine to the other. So I rebooted my work laptop and then the feature began working. I am now able to switch seamlessly between machines.

Thanks for any thought or work you all may have put into this for me, I appreciate your efforts.
