broken windowfx

Hi, all
i really love windowfx, altough i'm now get a little bored after experiencing more rich beryl and compiz under linux.

my windowfx start acting weirdly after i use my laptop for working with eclipse, wincvs and tortoisecvs, mysql and apache.

these are my standard software installation for programing.

windowfx simply freeze the desktop after logon.
the windows it self is not halting because the task manager still can be viewed with control-alt-del combination.
more correctly is the windows stop rendering desktop and all animation.

killing wfxload.exe and relogon will stop the freeze, but also disable all effects.

things get nastier after i installed googledesktop 5 and objectdock plus.
instant freeze.

already add exclusion list for all app mention above with no effects

is winfx is a left over product of stardock? i see less development with winfx than any other stardock products

best regards

please help me.
before all this nasty things, winfx work flawlessly for about one month.

These forums are mostly "user forums" and are frequented by users such as you.  If you have an issue with a Stardock product you would be best to contact support@stardock.com .

Given it was the easter holiday a SD reply was unlikely within those 2 days.

Could you post a list of the files in your WindowFX directory including file sizes & dates please.

Well, i was thinking some support was online in these forum.
i was living on the other part of the world, so i didnt know about the holiday. i'm sorry.
the problem only exist after i update my google desktop and objectdock to version 1.6 beta.
However, i found a solution. it appear loading objectdock before winfx cause the problem.
so i just disable objectdock autostart option. and start obectdock manually.
are there any ways to alter which program to start first in windows autostart list?

best regards.

I had the same problem with desktop freezing on WindowFX loading during Windows startup. In my case a solution was to disable Taskbar semi-transparency effect in the WindowFX settings.
