DesktopX for all users

Is it possible?

I'd like to be able to allow my son to use DesktopX to display a WoW desktop, but it refuses to run under Vista - saying that his account doesn't have enough privileges to access the files. I'd rather not give him Administrator access, so is there a way that other users can have access to the Stardock programs that I've installed?

TIA!

I'll test and se what I can figure out.
Just so I am sure, it DOES run in the admin account, right?

I had a thought before I test.  Can you run the theme as admin successfully on his account?  If so, it might be easier to run a scheduled task (as admin, on login) that opens the theme.  Dunno . . but might be an easy fix.

Yep - it runs on the admin account (mine) - which is where it was installed. I guess I expected it to work like other programs: for example, when I installed Office, all users had access to it. For some reason, none of the Stardock programs do that. Oddly enough, even though I've been using it for years, no-one else has ever wanted to try them!

I'll have a look at the scheduled task option and let you know how it goes...

Try adding a shortcut in the Statup folder where you Run As an admin.
