Criteria for obtaining Medals

AFAIK there is no written explanation. But the Racial medal is based on playing games with all races. Not sure whether or not this has been updated to require the new races of DA. I'm also not sure whether or not it requires a win (as opposed to a loss) with each race to count. Perhaps someone else may know this.

If you look at the legend you'll see that it lists Achievement medals #1 through #9 plus the wounded in action medal. From what I've been able to determine Achievement #1 is the Racial Medal, Achievement #2 is 5 game winner, Achievement #3 is 20 game winner, Achievement #4 is 50 game winner, Achievement #5 is 100 game winner, Achievement #6 through #9 are unknown to me anyway. None of these descriptions are found in the legend, but if you can find someone that has the medal you get a tooltip description on mouseover.

Which particular medals are you curious about?

I was curious about the racial medal, I surmised that it was either wining a game with every race in it, or playing every race as what Mumblefratz said. I don't however know about what he said about the achievement #3 being the 20 game winner; because I have had the same one (#3) for both 5 and 20 game winner and only the mouse over changed when I went from being a 5 game winner to being a 20 game winner.
I was wondering about what the "commenter's" and the "characters" are. I also am trying to get to being a "Commodore" not because of it being a higher rank then I am now; but rather because I was and still am to a much lesser extent a die hard C=64 (commodore 64 computer) nostalgia buff, and have the dubious *honor* of having written a poc virus for the **100% virus immune** commodore computer. ((*details given if asked*)). I am sort of curious however as to how I went from an ensign to fleet captain in about 15 days?
I was discussing the wounded in action (Purple Heart) medal in another thread. IIRC kryo, you were part of that discussion were you not?

Commenter rankings are based largely on the number of replies you've posted on the forum (vs author, which is based on new threads posted and their popularity). Unfortunately there's a bug such that the commenter medals go to the authors (I should have the #1 commenter medal, but it's on Frogboy instead).

Character medals are just based on the rank of that character (you can have up to three) in the metaverse, pretty simple.



Where are you seeing this at? Under your posts there are both #2 (5 games) and #3 (20).

The naval ranks are based on a combination of games posted and score, AFAIK. I do not know the specifics, beyond that more games with more score makes for higher rank.

Yep,right after I made that post, they both showed up, I guess it was just a little slow on the up take; because when I made that post only the #3(20 game) was showing. If I keep loosing sleep and playing as much as I have been (if the wife doesn't throw me out first j/k, lol) before the end of the month, maybe I will have my 50 game one.
I am thinking of updating my home page; because the last time I updated it was back in 2K (I think). It is half 100% flash and half JavaScript & html. I mention it because the flash page looks like a solar system and the links are planets. I am thinking about updating and upgrading it to look a lot more like GalCiv2. I won't use their graphic however; but rather either create my own or have my eldest daughter create some; because she is a great artist.
