Help Needed w/ Ship Yard - Ship Upgrades.

Two Quick Questions Please?

1 - Shipyard - Ship Upgrade:
After installing the 1.4 patch from ver. 1.0 it seems the "Shipyard / Ship Upgrade" screen mechanics have changed.
Now it seems when you choose a previously upgraded ship to upgrade, it automatically strips away all previously installed useable items such as engines, weapons, modules, basically everything except each cosmetic hull add on.
This seems awkward.

Is there any way to just get to the "Ship Upgrade" screen with all items useable items still installed on the ship so you can just pick and choose which items to remove and which to add?

Also

2 - Colony Management:
Is these any way to quickly access / show the star map in order to show the relative location of the current planet in relationship to the universe and then flip back to that planets Colony Management Screen?

This would be very useful in helping you decide if a Starbase , or any other related item, would be must useful on this planet due to it's location on the star map location.

Thanks very much in advance

Toggle "remove functional components on upgrade" in the options screen.

As to #2, not that I'm aware of in DL.

Thanks for the quick response. Regarding “Ship Upgrade” I'll change my interface settings on the options menu.

Regarding the Planet / Colony’s relative location on the Space Map:
I think an additional function near the 'Done" command (or the "done" command itself) which would bring you to a 50% to 75& or so zoom in (adjustable by the player in options) on the star map with the planet highlighted would be a great way to help players quickly see where the planet they are working with is in relation to the rest of the game world.

Is there such a command in DA?

I tend to find that after playing a certain map for a while, it becomes easier to know where a certain planet is. Still, if you really are having trouble remembering, you could rename the planet and add in the sector co-ordinates (shown at the top of the screen).
