VISTA issues

Hi

I recently switched to vista and I am having
a lot of issues with objectdock.

- when you hover over the dock and move away to fast it does not
return to normal it gets stuck as if you were still hovering over it.
- when you start new programs they do not get added to the taskbar
of the dock
- related to the previous the description of the taskbar items does not
change with the title of the window eg firefox.

are there any fixes that might be able to overcome these issues?

btw I'm using vista ultimate, 32bit version, with the sidebar.

grtz

ok

so what you are trying to say is that I have to
be patient and wait for the 1.6 release?

That does not really solve my problem right now,
I loved object dock on xp and I would like to
have the same functionality on vista.

When do you think the new version might be released?

Maybe someone who uses Vista will be able to help

The developer is making the effort to make it work on Vista as well as it does on XP

I know as much as you do....soon

I'm running the same system, but I removed the sidebar because it's such a resource hog. It also slows the boot time considerably. Stardock is providing virtually no support for Vista users. I think I've purchased my last copy of Object Desktop.

That is so not true! Stardock has been busy revamping WB, IP & OD for Vista....not to mention Logonstudio Vista and Deskscapes. CursorXP & Right Click also work fine in Vista.....

Okay, so not everything is up to speed as yet...but Rome wasn't built in a day, either.

Vista has only been available to the general public in its 'gold form' for a couple of months or so now, and not everyone is running it on the same hardware, etc, so there are going to be varying issues and Stardock will need time to address them.

Patience is a virtue....and it's lack thereof may very well see you missing out on some really great goodies that are in store for customers in 2007-8.

I have Vista Ultimate and I have OD and I have NO problems with it at all. I don't use my side bar either, or I should say very often. I also run WB and have no problems.
Maybe you should uninstall OD and clean your PC and then reinstall.

I have Vista Ultimate with OD, the Sidebar, and a Dream running. 1 & 2 were not issues with me. 3 I can't verify because I never tested that before disabling that part of OD.

I did that already but it didn't help.

I guess patience will be the name of the game...

Vista has given me some problems as well, with stardock and in general a few days ago I found a great tech support site that had information about many of my problems.

Here is the page for Vista Support

Good luck
