while i love object dock and purchased object dock plus, i just cannot take to object bar, personal preference, i am sure it is a fine program just like all other stardock products, just not to my taste.

OB is my favorite SD product.

am i the only person in the world that notices little red squiggles under words that i type?

lmao- it's drawing attention to a possible mispelled word it's a pity zubaz does'nt take any notice of it, amongst others in here, you all know who you are

I've often wondred waht those are for.  I'd apprecaite any hintz.

Thanks to those little red squiggles Zubaz all I had to do was rightclick on them and select the proper words to correct *your spelling mistakes within the quote

All those squiggles do is tell me when I'm typing CORRECT English, not the MS/US imitation ver.....

Is there any reason that Object Bar wants to check the internet on such a frequent basis? Currently it is asking me about every five to ten minutes - a little excessive don't you think?

I know the timing because of how frequently my firewall pops-up a window requesting that I give OB access to the net.

I would assume that you have a weather element or some such thing.  Do you?

I have the weather element on mine, and I know that gets updated about that frequently.

Technically, no. Definitely not on Object Bar.

I am using FF as my default browser with the FasterFox weather extension. However, by default the extension is disabled. Also, I changed it's update to something like every 2 hrs. The extension was not running when I noticed the 5 minute internet access request.

My use of OB is limited to two additional bars: a top dock straight from the Dogma4 skin/theme and a left dock autohide arranged as series of folders with games & game utilities, the Programs & My Documents folders on it.

Nothing else is on OB. Nor do I run a desktop / systray weather application. Nor anything else in either location that is new or shoud be checking the internet regularly. (I should mention that I do not have internet access at home so I don't use such "features" in most software.)

It was trying to access 66.28.242.218 which is Cogent Communications. BTW, while writing this message, DXwidgets.exe asked for permission to check the internet as well.
