Rebate Coupon

I bought a boxed copy of GalCiv2 Gold Edition. I have to say that the boxed edition is poor. Good looking box but the inside is really cheap. The game is on a jewel case, I expected at least a dvd box like is used nowadays and the box is oversized compared to the cd case (so cd and manual are shaken everywhere).
However I wanted to use the rebate ticket because I'm a GalCiv2 Dread Lords user.
I read the instruction on the coupon: I have to send via mail (doesn't other ways exist?) the gold edition UPC barcode and the cover of the manual of dread lord. So to have the rebate I have to ruin the box I paid for... something is wrong.

Very Good game, but worst at dealing with the above things.

I'm sorry you feel that the retail box was lacking, but I'm not sure what you think could be done about it at this point since they've already been manufactured and shipped long since?

As to the rebate, requiring the UPC is standard procedure for such offers (I don't think I've ever seen one that didn't, personally). But the rebate offer expired a couple of weeks ago, in any case.

For the comment about the box, it's just a comment. I dont pretend nothing, just giving an opinion. Don't call things "gold edition" when they can't match the quality the name is referred to.

About the Coupon
Well my post was 21st of March, reply on 30 April and I had to up the post once.
The fact I don't understand is why ruin the box of my game and have to send the code via UPC mail (additional cost to send nothing but a code) when it can be done by e-mail, or other things that can be done with the stardock central (without cost and in a smarter way).

However it's not that big deal, I like the game and the other things, nothing to say about that. But the management of the things I mentioned above simply lack of something.

Thanks anyway

It's necessary and common to send in physical proof of purchase for rebates. Screenshots or photocopies just won't cut it.
